Role
Millennium is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) of its parent company, Millennium Consolidated Holdings, LLC, which wholly owns the US broker-dealer Millennium Advisors, LLC and the FCA registered broker-dealer, Millennium Europe Limited. The US broker-dealer also has two foreign branch offices located in Singapore and the UK. Based in Charlotte and reporting to the Group CEO, the successful candidate will have overarching financial responsibility for all Millennium entities. The individual will operate as a strong partner to the Group CEO and other members of the management team, including the two co-founders and majority owners, and bring valued business insight to the table, as well as excellent financial leadership credentials. This senior executive will lead the organization through the next phase of the company’s growth, providing both strategic and operational leadership to Millennium.
Key Responsibilities
Setting Strategy
· Manage the scope, scale, and complexity of the global organization from a finance perspective.
· Provide guidance on the financial strategy of the firm, develop and manage the company’s budget, and create forecasts predicting future financial performance and growth.
· Enhance a high-performing finance function which enables the company to scale, while acting as a thoughtful, strategic, and analytical business partner to the broader executive team.
· Strategically drive progress in achieving business results while also maintaining fiscal soundness.
· Seek and analyze data from a variety of sources to support decisions and to align others with the company’s overall strategy.
· Make recommendations for investments and strategic financial decisions.
Leading Teams
· Provide strategic management of the accounting and finance functions.
· Enhance and manage functions and activities essential in supporting Millennium’s current and future business operations.
· The ability to attract and recruit top talent, motivate the team, delegate effectively, celebrate diversity within the team, and manage performance.
· Persevere in the face of challenges and exhibit a steadfast resolve and relentless commitment to higher standards, which commands respect from others.
· Present and explain financial results in company-wide and management meetings.

· Provide oversight and governance of all legal entities, including the employee ownership company.
· Direct accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
· Negotiate and approve certain contracts and agreements.
· Administer and oversee payroll, incentive compensation, 401k, and equity processes.
· Effectively balance the desire/need for broad change with an understanding of how much change Millennium is capable of handling.
· Suggest improvements to ensure the integrity of the company’s financial information.
· Recommend and oversee financial systems implementations and upgrades.
· Create realistic goals and implementation plans that are achievable and successful.
· Have the ability to act in a transparent and consistent manner while always taking into account what is best for Millennium.
Relationships and Influence
· Naturally connect and build strong relationships with others, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence and an ability to communicate clearly and persuasively.
· Oversee the relationships with independent auditors, tax preparers, and banking relationships globally.
· Manage relationships and be the main point of contact for investors, bond rating agencies, investment banking relationships, and valuation firms. Identify and manage business risks and insurance requirements.
· Encourage others to share the spotlight and visibly celebrate and support the success of the team.
Job requirements
Qualifications
· Excellent strategic, commercial, and operational strength as it relates to the finance function and business partnering.
· Exceptional financial leadership experience in global, regulated organizations that have undergone meaningful business transformation.
· Collaborative, hands-on, and growth-oriented finance executive who can also be hands-on and roll up their sleeves when necessary.
· Strong analytical, strategic planning, communication, and writing skills.
· Have a proven track record of developing and leading high-performing teams in a fast-growth environment, and a strategic business mindset.
· Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty with the ability to adapt nimbly and lead others through complex situations.
· Bring maturity, humility, integrity, and gravitas to the role.
Preferred Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required, Master’s degree is a plus.
· CPA or MBA preferred.
· Candidates should have held positions of increasing responsibility within an accounting department, such as director of finance, director of accounting or controller.
· Professionals should possess knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
· Have at least 10 years of experience in accounting or finance, including a minimum of five years in a management role.
· Extensive knowledge of the securities industry, specifically broker-dealer experience is highly desired.
· Experience with and in the completion of annual financial statement and regulatory audits.
· Experience with international companies with consolidations.
· Understanding of tax planning and analysis relating to U.S. partnerships is a plus.
